Unorthodox was born in 2007 under the name Heleg Anar (derived from Tolkien Elvish fire and ice), as a small friends and family guild on the Arathor-US server of World of Warcraft during the Burning Crusade. A server transfer and expansion later, the guild was reborn on Silver Hand-US, and grew into the home to the Leftovers' Unorthodox raiding charter. The charter saw much success, achieving top-3 server results in 10-man exclusive raiding.

Post-Cataclysm and with the launch of Guild Wars 2, Unorthodox retired from raiding and now focuses more exclusively on enjoying social content with friends. Heleg Anar (WoW) and Unorthodox (GW2) look forward to new friends, new adventures and new lands.
